Another I love my 4Runner Thread

As I am sure most of you do, I love my 4Runner.

Sure there are better SUV's out there, 4gen Runner, but for what it is worth, my 2002 4Runner is perfect. It's not fast, but it is comfortable and realiable. Barely a squeak or rattle with 42k miles. Suspension is tight, never a problem with anything, but a door seal. I also have a BMW, anything is more reliable :-)

With that said, I am not the best at maintenance. I have only done Oil filter every 5k and air filters.

With 42k what should I have done? Coolant? Tranny? Diffs?

Also what are some practical mods? I am don't care much about apprearance, but more about performance.

I have been a member here for a little while, but mostly lurk around.

here she is.

Great looking T4R!

I too have some of the same questions. Just rolled over on 30k on my 02. I'm planning on changing the coolant this summer. I purchased mine used so not sure if it was done before.

Have been looking at the TRD Cat Back for the 02 but I think it's just a single outlet on the stock side instead of a duel...really want the duel. This should give some performance gain but hey, with the gas prices, who thinks about performance?

Great to here from an 02 owner!

Very pretty truck. My brother has an 02 as well. Hope everything goes well.

Thanks, I've had the truck since day one, < 1mile on the clock. It's been 3 great years. I am looking to add something to it, but not sure what will give me what I am looking for. Either performance or appearance.
