So I am considering lifting my 2000 limited 4x4. I have 265/75/16 bfg ko's and they do rub when I turn and brake at the same time, so because of that and ive always wanted a lift. I have heard that revtek is a good lift. Q: What is the difference between getting a kit like revtek and just spacers like cornfed? Also I dont know if its just the limiteds but my suspension is very very soft and im sick of constantly bottoming out when offroading, so anyone have and good experiences with and brands of shocks? Also so if I got spacers and shocks would I have to get new coils too or are the stock ones fine.

Cornfeds are extremely high quality. I would definatley go with them. I think the revtek comes with a diff drop for lifts > 2.5 inches. Personally, i would do some searching on www.yotatech.com. there are many 3rd gens who run the tunrda/ome lift. I run it and absolutley love it. The lift consists of trd tundra front springs and ome 891s in the rear with the OME shocks/struts. Highley recommend it

Althought this topic has been beaten to death on numerous forums.... I'll sum it up anyway in hopes that others will search and find this thread for future reference:

Lift kits are broken down by budget:

Spacers - ultra cheap but makes ride stiff and harsh compared to stock

Coils - OME or Tundra or some combination (example) mid range pricing that offers stock ride and feel with lift.

Coilovers - expensive... but definitely cool and bling.

Figure out your budget and then decide on a lift. If budget is not a concern then make sure you go for a complete suspension swap (meaning not using any stock coils/shocks like how the spacers reuse).

good luck

you may not need to lift it. i have the same exact tires and mine rubbed bad on full lock left turns. i cut some plastic off the splash guard, and hasnt been a problem since. although lifting would be much cooler! good luck!

Hey I got one more question. So I have heard the whole thing about having some problems when you get 3 inches and the ome lift is supposed to give me 3. So are there any extra things I will have to buy or adjust to make sure my ride isnt screwed up. For instance I heard you need to get longer brake lines or a diff drop?? Anything else

e-brake extender, panhard drop, i think maybe a longer steering shaft or something...

go to yotatech.com and do a search for panhard drop, im sure many items will come up.

With the Tundra/OME lift can you run Bilsteins? Also what others mods need to be made to truck to make this work? What year Tundra do you get the springs from?

Thanks

My runner has a 3" early revtech kit, and i don't have any problems... it's a fairly good quality lift kit... and i also changed the stock rear spring to a downey HD spring.. and i don't get the bounce like the stock spring... Also after lifting your T4R don't forget to get the front end aligned...

looks great, trboblu

i recently put on the Performace Products lift springs... more info here:
