Another lift question....

Ok don't wheel the new 4runner as hard or often as I did the old yota, but I miss the opportunity too... if you know what I mean? Looking at just a weenie spacer lift at the moment and not sure if I should go with Revtek's poly full spacer kit at $362.00 or Toytec's front spacer/rear coil for $330.00? Feel like Revtek's poly might handle vibrations better for daily driving, but don't think they handle up to the abuse I tend to put my vehicles through like the solid aluminum Toytec spacers? Both lifts a "3 inch" lifts and claim clearance on 285's. Which one do you guys think I should go with, pro's and con's?

Would love to go with new front springs or adjustable struts... need the cash first.

kinda depends on what ride you want... and if the rest of your suspension is old or new.

Poly spacers on an old suspension will squish even more under the weight of the vehicle, I think I only got about an inch to inch and a half out of my 2.5 poly on bad coils. youll get closer to the 2.5-3 inches on a fresh set of coils/shocks.

the ride with Poly is gonna be nice and soft, absorb bumps, pretty smooth,

I havent had the aluminum ones, but theres no way they are soft and smooth like the poly

so all depends on what ride you want, and how old your shocks/coils are

Well I know the coils are original, no sag sits pretty level as for struts/shocks not sure... It rides fairly smooth for 130,000+ miles on it.

With 131k its probably time for a suspension refresh.

Look at it this way, you are already spending around $400 for a suspension upgade that you would be settling for. I for one am not really fond of spacer lifts, but to each his own.

Save another $300 and get a full replacement lift with new shocks and springs. If you must do it now go for the Toytec. Its cheaper and comes with rear coils so if you want to upgrade later you will be one step ahead.

Or, wait and watch the classifieds and piece together a "pre-owned" kit.
