Glen, again, research and ask a specific question. Your original post is not very specific about what you are wanting to do other than run 285's. Is that 70 or 75. Mild wheeling, mall crawling, expedition style, fire road, all of the above. You state you will use it as it is supposed to, well that use varies on who you ask.
If you knew what you wanted to build for and the accessories you plan to have with you would greatly lead the answers you desire to a more specific product or combo of products.
Again, I can't say it enough, research and ask informed and specific questions, especially if you are leaning to any specific lift. Lead yourself to the water and drink, don't look for others to lead you.

Ive only bought two lifts in my life. The rest were built. You got a clue what a 210 MIG, ProTools 105HD, JD2 Notchmaster, 1.75/.120 DOM, 7075, you ever put your goober tongs on any of that stuff. Thank you for your un******* reply. We live in BV. So Taylor Park will be our go to spot. Its a little of everything....fire roads, mild rock crawling.....mainly just trail riding. 70 series tires looks to fit the bill.....probably Duratracs. There are no malls for hours. GOBI roofrack and sliders will be the jist of our upgrades for now. Possibly bumpers later down the road. Possibly....and thats probably only if factory gets dinked up. I really didnt know one needed to be this specific to request info ona lift. There are either spacer lifts....not happening. Or looks to me like Toytec or Icon or maybe Bilstein 5100 type setups. OME seems to be on the stiff side from what Ive read. Dont need longtravel stuff or highdollar full King setup either. It will be daily driven as well as this is my girlfriends truck. Shoulda had her ask this....guarandamntee she wouldnt have got mauled by Stifler and the rest of the asshats that had nothing but shit to spew. Geez....puts a bad taste in my mouth about this forum to be honest. Just as Stifler said there is only about 5 built rigs in this whole forum....sounds like some folks need to calm down. Im done. again you talk about all you are and all you do but you need someone to hold your hand to pick a lift for a 4runner.... unless you are fabbin some one off sliders or something you aren't gonna find much need for DOM or a 210 mig on a 5thgen lol.... maybe an exo with your daystar spacers and 20s will keep the door dings down at walmart.....

People get annoyed and frustrated at post like this because all this info is easily found on the forum without adding another thread. Some may argue that it isn't all that easy to find the info but I managed to and I'm a noob to off roading, lifts, and forums. I got all the info I needed to buy and install my suspension by myself without creating a new thread. You seem to have have a lot off suspension knowledge and off road experience so starting a generic suspension thread makes it all the more frustrating for folks on this forum that would like to minimize the amount of new suspension threads that only serve the purpose of the OP and don't add any new value to the forum. Toytec lifts and ucas are well covered. Your only going to hear about installed equipment 6 months down the road if there are issues. If there isn't people won't post. You can assume things are good with their equipment choices. Of course you can always pm someone a question that has the equipment you are interested in as well to see if they have any regrets or issues.
I think your having trouble understanding that the more little suspension threads people start here the more diluted the searching is for people looking for that info becomes.

I get what your saying. When I bought my lift for the Rubicon I got on a forum and ask what everyone was running/liking. I got MULITIPLE posts back about what folks liked.....and didnt like. If forums are for searching only then why is there a "new topic" button. If everything is hashed out just close the section and allow new members to only search. What could there be to ask that hasnt been ask since the 5th gen came out??

PS. I have Bilstein 6112's & 5160's with the front leveled at middle Circlip....I love the ride, and how it handles on road and offroad (just as recently as yesterday / no photos).

Your exaggerating my point. The name of your thread indicates that you understand your creating a repetitive thread. Your questions could have been asked on an existing toytec thread instead of creating a new one. I don't have experience with other forums but I get that you would assume something that is OK on one forum would work on another. Here they have a sticky that says start here and explains how they would like people to use the forum. If start by going through the stickys I think you would have a clear understanding of how to proceed in the forum and have answered a lot of your own questions. Basically new threads should add new info to the forum or pose new questions that haven't already been asked and answered. It does make sense to keep a toytec question on an existing toytec thread. That way we only have a minimal amount of threads for future people to search through.
