I don't know why it took me so long to sign up. I've been lurking the forum since I bought my T4R at the beginning of May. A little about me: I just got back from a deployment to Iraq, and decided I was going to get a new car when I came home. I researched everything I could while I was there, and decided on a 4th gen 4R over a new Xterra when I got home. I found the one I wanted pretty quick, and have been the happiest man alive ever since! I've only done a few things to it so far, and almost everything I've done, I got the idea here on T4R.org.
On to the good stuff! The rig: black '06 Sport Edition V6 4x4, 70k miles, one owner, all highway (commuted from Boise, ID to Portland, OR. Not sure why they needed a SE), mint condition. Seriously, the seats haven't even been flattened from swiveling in and out. No dents, all original metal w/VIN tags.
So far, all I've done in the first few months is install WeatherTech mats (heavy duty) everywhere, install a Pioneer AVIC X920BT (amazing HU!), Xenon Depot HID's (5000k), and had the front windows tinted to match, plus had my entire windshield tinted to 55%. (It's legal for me. I wish it was for everyone, because it's AWESOME!). I also have a Steelcraft Bull bar in my garage waiting installation, but they're making me brackets that actually bolt up to the later 4th gens. I called them after reading on here that they didn't fit well, and they're in prototype right now. If anyone wants more info on the SteelCraft bull bars in relation to the late 4R's, PM me.
