Another Noob intro

Hello,

This is my first post, but I've been lurking and reading posts for the past month and I wanted to thank everyone for the information. Very much appreciated.

Bought a new 2006 4Runner Limited (V6 2x4) about a month ago and looking forward to adding a few mods to it. Ordering a Porter-Cable polisher this weekend and looking forward to putting it to use.

If you wanted to swap out those Horrid looking LED tail lights.....;): and the 5 speed tranny..... I would be willing to take them off your hands....

Thanks for the welcome folks! I'm really enjoying the new 4Runner. I bought it with 5400 miles (it's a demo) and was able to save some $$$ on the final price. I've been talking to friends and family about buying a 4Runner for 4 or 5 years and finally took the plunge in March and I'm happy that I did.

I tend to keep cars for a long time (my 1995 Honda Accord has 285k miles on it), so I'm hoping the 4Runner will last as long or longer than my Accord.

I'm embarrassed to say how much I've already spent on cleaning supplies, waxes and polishes. ;^) I did order a Cable-Porter polisher this past weekend and a bunch of other supplies. I'm looking forward to trying them out.

I really appreciate the sharing of information on this forum! The banter seems very friendly and information is shared freely. I'm on several other forums that have to do with other interest, such as much and folks don't always get along as well as they do here. Thanks for a great forum!!

Hey I am pretty new as well, but I would suggest that as far as aftermarket mods go...have a final goal in mind. That will save you time and money from switching things in and out.
 
Thanks for the advice on mods. I'll probably just do minor things like add a bull bar on the front and change out some lights - things like that. Nothing major for a while, if at all. I mostly want to make sure I take care of it and get as many miles out of the truck as possible.

Congrats and welcome.
