Yeah, I didn't even see the back wheels spinning either. There was a video between a volvo and a subaru going up a hill. The volvo did the same thing as the Hyundai, just kept spinning the front wheels. The weird thing was that the volvo was suppose to be AWD just like the subaru.

The Santa Fe comes in front 2wd or 4x4.

Glad I saw this vid. I was about to trade the 4R in for a Sante Fe for its off road ability.....lol

I know a few people who have them in 2wd and have been very happy with them. Not my style but whatever floats their boat.

I'm sure the models they used are 4x4 but it does not matter if you have open diffs and no traction control. In that case the wheel with no traction will keep spinning.

My mother has a 4x4 Santa Fe and I would never think about taking it offroading. But I do have to say that it does VERY well in our Upstate NY winters. Last year we had a snow storm that dropped roughly 12" snow overnight and I drove her to work in her vehicle. Cut through the snow like a hot knife through butter. I was impressed considering the type of vehicle. Would never trade my T4R in though...
