Another rusty frame!

Here are a some pictures of my 2001 frame (pass side inside frame). Granted I only bought it from someone in NY about 1.5 years ago. They said they went up to VT skiing almost every weekend. So it spent it's whole life here in the northeast with the lovely salt on the roads and owners that didn't take great care of a vehicle.

All these frames are rotting from the inside.

I only saw this rust this past fall when I had it up on a lift at work checking it over for the coming winter.

I did all the work myself, outside of the welding, I left that to a guy at work that is a certified welder.. Took about 5-6 hours start to finish.
Sorry for the Picture size!!!

Nice job. How much did he charge u

We just did it this past Saturday. He was still on the clock from work while doing some of it. He offered to do it for me and I agreed.

I did end up giving him some money (for Argon gas), he used his own tank of Argon, and a 6 pack of beer.

So all said and done, about 50 buck total for everything.

Wow. The welds don't look great, but $50 is an absolute steal.

I just painted my frame with por15, stuff is pretty bada$$ but messy lol (dont get it on your skin). Hope it buys me some time .

looks like he did a great job, its not a easy to weld overhead and welding to steel that isnt in good shape is tough too.
