Another Tall Person Issue

When I sit in the passenger seat, like when my wife or one of my son's is driving, I constantly hit my head on the handle above the door. It's not that big of a deal while we're driving down a smooth straight road, but is a problem getting in and out, and could be a real problem off road or in an accident.

I'm going to remove it and imagine I'll want to cover up the holes with some of the little covers like my 4Runner has where the handle would go on the drivers side.

Has anybody removed these handles and have a suggestion for where to get the little covers? I'm guessing the price will be ridiculously high for a couple simple plastic parts at the stealer, and I'm probably better off looking in a junk yard.

If you're thinking of the same plastic covers I am, maybe stop by Lowes or Home Depot. I don't know, do you think they would have something to cover it up?

how tall are you ?

what happens when you recline the seat?

6'-3". I don't recline the seat enough to make a difference unless I'm resting on a long drive, and that doesn't help getting in or out. Even on long drives I can't stretch my legs out enough to get comfortable when reclined anyways.

I will send you the caps from my drivers side for your handle and screws.

That was something I thought about offering. What year and color is your interior? Mine's a 2004 with Taupe interior.
