Another tundra brake upgrade question ;)

Hey guys, I've been reading on the subject because I need to replace a caliper and both rotors on my truck. My question is this, did anyone ever checked if it is possible to install the brake master/booster assembly from a tundra in our trucks to prevent the lower brake pedal after the brake upgrade? I've seen some pictures of both assemblies and it might just work...

Would just love to get some input from you guys...

I also was thinking about installing tundra rotors with our calipers, is it possible?

You should be able to install the master cylinder. Just get the steel braided brake lines, they don't give as much as the rubber ones. They fix the mushy feel, and if not then install a tundra master cylinder.

Don't waste your time with all that, Just bolt on the calipers and new rotors/pad and you're ready to go.

Tundra rotors are a good deal thicker than 4Runner rotors.

I am sure the bore size of the Brake cylinder on the 4runner is 1" while the bore size of the tundra is 13/16" .

So with that said, using the 4runner master cylinder should yield a firmer brake pedal then the tundra's.
