Another Tundra brake ????

I have been searching but no answer to my ??
Will brakes from a 2000 Tundra 4x4 work? I have a chance to buy the rotors and calipers near new for $60.00.
I have a 96 4Runner.

It depends on some factors. Check and see if they have 13WE stamped on the caliper which represents the 199mm caliper. They may require some trimming of the dust shield. Not really sure about your rims though. The 231mm are the big boys stamped with 13WL which will require trimming of the dust shield and possible grinding of your rims. If your not towing go with the 199mm. Just do some research reagarding your rims..

Yes, they should fit, but depending on what size they are will depend on what modification you'll need to attatch them. See my signature for reference and also more links. There is also tons of info out there on what all modifications you'll need to do this excellent swap! Good luck!

Just to clarify, the 199mm calipers do not require trimming of the dust sheild, and he already has the Tundra wheels so he should be good there.

Just seemed like everyone was using 01 and up parts so I just wanted to make sure.
