another year, another trip, another photo set.

So just like last year we headed from California to Nebraska, and just like last year we wanted a different route.

The vehicle of choice, featuring a couple of new upgrades from last years set up.

Didn't get too far on the first day, and ended up spending the night in Reno.

The trips are always fun once you get started. The planning is always stressful though.

Parents made it a whole year with no issues. My dad managed to do his own tranny cooler and o2 sensor install, but conveniently waited for me to "help" with the ball joints and tie rods. and yes my heated shop was sitting back in San Jose empty while I did their suspension work, and a radiator swap in mine in a freaking cold driveway!.

We saw a whole lot of this, No I didn't take a ton of pictures of it to bore you with.

Stopped the trees off the interstate and had to stop by to shoot it, it was just too cool to pass up.

another dead end looking for a ghost town. I have got to quit driving hundreds of miles based on random internet sites and spots on maps. lol

Stopped by the California Trail Museum or something like that. Not a huge place but they had some cool stuff and it was a great parking lot to make dinner in.

Wendover will says this was the last photo from the second day of driving. We did continue on to Salt Lake City where we spent the night though.

5th day on the road, basically in the middle of nowhere Wyoming.

Really wish I would have had a faster focus on this shot. Guess I will have to take another trip sooner than later to try again. []

Same here...never noticed this section and loved the OP's post....great photography! Not to mention, unless I am mistaken his one picture looks like I-80 going out of Reno right before the turnoff to Sparks where my sibling lives and we were just there visiting...lol.
