Antenna: Power to No Power

My 98 sr5 has a power antenna, when I hooked up my pioneer unit, the power had no plug to go into. My question is, can I make the antenna go up without being power? Even if it needs to stay up, I would like it. I don't want to replace it if I don't have to.

yeah the power ant. on my 93' has kinda been sucking lately i might just take all that out and buy one of those black rubber ones that look tougher.

i have a 97 with the same issue...

however, i could care less about the radio..
and i don't want that stupid thing going up and down everytime i want to listen to the radio....

i feel the same way, but we have a drive-in in South Jersey that we go to every other weekend, and it would be nice for some better reception.

If the power is disconnected, I would think you could remove the antenna and open it up and re-install it. He is my small write up about removing the antenna.
