Has anyone else installed or replaced something on your 4Runner and then removed it because it didn't do what you thought it would or look the way you wanted it too?

Mine so far:
Full brush guard
Interior lights changed to blue
Wheel locks (McGard=Garbage)
Sunroof windflector

Future:
Bandpass enclosure to sealed enclosure

Spent over $800 on black rims, but realized that it dulled the appearance of the entire truck. So I went back to stock.

I also had white LED's in my interior, but swapped them all out a 2nd time with Blue LED's instead.

Not yet, but thinking about replacings my super white LED corner bulbs back to amber stock, because LED's last about a year. Getting tired of changing them.

Hey Josh, I think I remember a little while back you were looking for rims or looking to possibly powercoat some back-up Sport 17's black. Am I right ?? Either way, powercoating my sport wheels was something I was considering. Why did you feel it dulled your car ?? Was it just too much black considering that you'd blacked out the rest of your truck ??

Subwoofer box. The bandpass has a portion covered with plexi-glass and has ported chambers. If they are not made to match the sub they produce a sloppy sounding bass.

Yeah I think so. Wouldn't you agree by comparing the pictures above? They were flat black, so maybe a shiny black would look better, but the ones I put on just looked "bleh."

My "white" single LEDs will be changed back to amber bulb since the white seems more blue and they aren't very bright.

:bugeye: :lmao: :bugeye: :lmao: :rocker: :satan: What color was the pinstripe; rainbow? Hahahahaha... That's what I get for being hooked on fonniks:biggrin2:

Maybe you were ahead of me and trying to beat the filter. Gay.
EDIT: Nope, the filter doesn't stop that one.

Josh , I like the stock ones better even though the rest of the truck is blacked out , you need some contrast.

Haha, well if it WAS then I may have different opinions about Toyota! haha, no it was just gray but they stuck it on there without even asking if I wanted it, which was a negative :-)
I think its funny that some words are filtered (t@rd, D1ck) but not Gay! I need to edit my post :)

Great decision on going back to the stock rims. Black rims are so lame. They do make vehicles look dull and very generic, very cheap. I personally don't understand what people see with black rims. You do need to have some contrast.

I generally agree, although lately I've been seeing black rims with silver/chrome center caps and outside edge of the rim where the tire meets...and it looks HOTT.

One time I was considering putting a lift on my 4runner.
Then I realized that if I wanted to screw up my 4runner, I would just drive it into a pole.
