Anti-Rattle Spring -Front Brake Calipers

This is what my 2016 SR5 Premium front brake caliper looks like. It is missing the upper anti-rattle spring. Without it, the pin that holds the brake pads will make a rattle noise when it hits a bump. Both sides dont have the upper spring. A friend of mine called Toyota and they confirmed, in the diagram it only shows the lower, but in actual it should have upper and lower. Unfortunately, you will have the buy them for $10.

I have worked on quite a few over the years, they rarely have 2 on each caliper.
sometimes I will add a 2nd one, but its usually not needed.
the pin should fit very close in the caliper, and pad so as not to move very much.
you can get those same clips from just about any autoparts store if you want to add another.

I tapped the pin that holds the pads, they do have a play. Not significant, but it is there, you can hear it. I have my friend ordered directly from Toyota.

The tundra calipers on my 3rd gen also only have 1 clip per side. No rattle until one of the clips broke last week, I replaced it and now I'm rattle free again.
