One of the guns I inherited from my grandfather was his Remington Rand--crap pictures because I haven't taken any recently. Definitely the most accurate gun I own. Having lived in Arkansas awhile I'd love to get a Wilson Combat one day. Never would carry it because of size and sentimental value--I've got cheap polymer for that.

Very cool! Yeah it's not a carry gun but a fine looking iron. The first pic I posted in my EDC and doesn't look that pretty anymore after carrying it all day everyday for almost the 10 months and about 3 thousand rounds through it. There are a few fine Smiths to choose from for a custom build that is close in price to a semi custom like a WC.

I love 1911s. Nice looking pieces [MENTION=136688]lsbbigdog[/MENTION] ! That Remington Rand is sweet too [MENTION=136471]hstexan[/MENTION] ! Here's a pic of my "frankenstein" Colt 1911 US Navy. The slide is circa 1912, and the frame ser. # dates it to c.1918 (I believe the frame is a "black army"). The story I got when I bought it from was, the PO worked in a Navy armory during WW2 and assembled the gun from spare parts and converted the frame to an A1. Most of the small parts are WW2 era and nothing on the gun dates later than c.1944. The man carried it as a bail bond agent for a few decades after the war. It's a cool gun with some history and I got it for cheap. Even came with the original 2-tone magazine from 1912. It's also the most accurate gun I own.

I'm a revolver guy, but I picked up a new SIG 1911 STX last year, and a SIG .22 LR conversion kit for it. Nice shooting pistol! (I know, some claim the SIG 1911s are not true 1911s due to the external extractor and non interchangeability of parts. I don't particularly care.)

I am too lazy to log in but I remember it. It was a Good deal!
I just came back to the Toyota world. I had a few lifted Toyota pick ups back in the day and just totaled my Charger R/T that was wrench a bit that I had for a few years . I Figured hell lets go back Toyota. I was looking a 4runners and glad i went bigger with the Sequoia.

I wonder if those people that say the Sig 1911 is not a 1911 ... have wooden spoke wheels on their cars because the first cars did?
Dollar for dollar it would be hard to find a better 191 than the Sig.
