Hey Asa, I'm heading over there on Tuesday! A tad bit earlier than most it seems, but have you decided when you will be going?

i see your from simpsonville. we're getting a convoy to there if you want to come. about 20 vehicles. dont think theres an age but i would prep up on survival and recovery stuff.:toilet:

Haha I've definitely got enough camping/survival stuff, but when are yall thinkin on goin?
bout tuesday. i got some buds that have car carrier semi trucks so most of the cars are going on there. its about 25 hours of driving but it goes by quick. if you want to go, youre going to decide if you want the runner on the truck.

I will probably be sticking to the 6 and below trails. I'd like to do Top of The World and a few others.

I would absolutely love to run Top of the World! I'll most likely be getting into town around 6 on Tuesday, so Wednesday would be best.

I will be there ready to run a trail early wednesday morning. Would also like to meet up with a few new people. I am going to RT bfe early Wednesday to see if I can link up with a run for the day. Unless there is a group deciding to hit totw I'd probably be game for that. It's a fun trail that if I recall takes about 5-6 hours. So a 3pm departure after would just depend on the speed it's run and the time you start.
5-6 hours spent on top of the world would be moving pretty slow. I would estimate it would take an hour to get the the trailhead from BFE and then 3 hours to make the loop. 5-6 hours would be very safe for planning purposes.

I would like to do TotW on Wednesday morning. I believe 8am is that standard meetup time.
I have never done it but I am glad to help try and organize or rally the troops.
Once we start the trail, if someone has actually done it before then I'd prefer they drive as the leader but worst case I'll take point.
Looks like we're getting a few people interested in doing Top of the World Wednesday morning. Any good meet-up places? I'm in Canyonlands campground.
I'm going to run Fins n Things tomorrow morning in case anyone is interested in joining up. I'd like to say I'll be leaving the campground about 8:15am after I check in (got in past closing time tonight) but that may be slightly ambitious with how tired my wife is tonight after spending a few days catching up with her best friend. If anyone is interested send me a PM...not sure how much time there is after Fins n Things but I want to hit as many trails as possible during my short time here.

Did Fins n Things in the morning and then Hell's Revenge in the afternoon. Fins tested the hitch and rear bumper a few times (as evident by some drag marks), Hell's Revenge tested the skid plates and sliders a couple times in addition to the hitch. I could have avoided the bumper with a different line on Fins had I seen it, but whatever I want a CBI rear bumper anyways. Weather was great until we got up at the top of the fins above the Hot Tubs on Hell's Revenge, then I bet it was 50mph winds, rain and a little hail for about 15 minutes. After that it calmed to a slight rain for another half hour before clearing up, but coming down by the Hot Tubs and the Dragons Tail is the worst possible spot to have nasty weather. This slickrock is amazing though, even in all that the traction was perfect and never got slippery.
I think we might do Top of the World tomorrow, change the scenery up a little. Looks like it's about a 45 minute drive from Canyonlands campground where I'm at, where is everyone else? We can either meet at a place here in town around 7:45am or meet at the turn off from highway 128 on Entrada Bluffs Rd around 8:30am?

This is my plan .... I'm at area BFE just a few tents away from Derpful (Hayden). I am planning to be parked in BFE next to Derpful in the morning.
Meet up goal: 7:45am
Look for two+ 4Runners (Black and Silver) plus 2 Silver Tacomas.
So far we have 4 trucks confirmed for Top of The World as the first trail.
In the afternoon I will probably try Fins and Things OR something else. The only thing I am sure about is Top of The World first.
There is no official trail board tomorrow morning. The Rock Therapy stuff doesn't start until later on Wed.
I have the coordinates for Top of The World and can lead us there but if someone else has done it before i prefer they take point on the trail.

my plans changed, ill be leaving in the morning, should be there early-mid afternoon. save me a camp spot at BFE!
