Any Apple i-Phone users?

Saw this blackberry thread ( http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=43401 ) so I figured we should have one for the iphone too :D

I just got the 3G about 6 weeks ago, pretty amazing what it can do the internet. However, I don't like the camera - it sucks compared to my old phone (a sony errickson) which had a lot more camera adjustments, had a light/flash, and would also take short videos - my iphone is just point and shoot, no light, no adjustments, no video :(

Are there any apps that make the camera feature any better? I haven't downloaded any apps yet, so many to choose from it makes my head spin.

I'm an iPhone user. I picked one up around August last year so I have the 1st generation model. The EDGE network really sucks egg though. The camera is decent but not great. I find it needs a LOT of light to produce a decent pic. But, it is just a camera phone. I don't know of any apps that will make it better though. I wish it also so supported Adobe Flash since so many websites use it, but I rarely view the web on it.

What's nice is that it's one less thing to carry. I use to carry a phone AND an ipod. Now, just one. I heavily rely on it to connect to work and email. Man, humans are indeed slaves to their tools.

I saw on a news show that a guy with an Iphone took pictures of his privates and emailed them to his girlfriend , well because of a glitch in the phone they went out to everyone on his contact list ......... including his wife.

It was determined it was a phone/software issue and he now wants to sue Apple ................ Oh and by the way his wife is divorcing him.

I know off topic ..... just couldn't resist that one guy's :D

I'm on my 3g now and yeah it's pretty amazing!!
But as far ad I know there are no apps to correct that, I too. Come from a Sony phone too which have the best cameras on phones period

I'm not sure I believe that story at all, because your contacts list is something Completely different than who you have email addresses for, I think it's just some dumbasses way of getting some cash for free

Been using an iPhone since they first launched, and no there are no apps to make the camera better....but it's just a camera on a phone; if you want to take better pictures I would suggest investing in a good digital camera or a digital SLR.

I know that people use there cell phone cameras often, but I haven't seen a "good" picture from a camera phone. Just my .02

Quite funny. :lmao:

I have a 3g, I got it around the time they came out. At first I wasn't completely sold on the keyboard and I kept dropping calls. But I've really started to love it in the last few months. The software is amazing. And its also great how its also and iPod so it works well with pretty much any stereo.

Well I did the 2.2 software upgrade that just came out and it now has street level views integrated with the GPS system - very cool!!

Also, I'm finally starting to download some of the apps and all I can say is they are freaking amazing!

All the ones I've downloaded so far are free with the exception of the Harmonica - the laughs it generates are well worth the 99 cents :D

My favorites so far:
Wolfgang's Vault- I spent most of last night on it.
Shazam
Urban Spoon
Some sort of line drawing game, I forget the name though.
Labyrinth.
Google Earth
The one that gives you all the jokes from recent late night hosts like Leno, Letterman.

Also, I haven't gotten any of them yet but I did see that there are several apps for the camera - there's one that supposedly lets you not have to tap the screen to take photos - thus resulting in less camera movement induced blurs.

Please post up your favorite apps!

The jokes app is called "iPhunny".
Also, the line drawing game I mentioned above is called "Trace".

Have you tried the "Say Where" app yet? It lets you say the address out loud to map it instead of having to type - works pretty good.

Some of my favs are Remote, HoldEm, Fieldrunners, Flixster (for finding movies in your area/free), MazeFinger (A fun game that was/free), EasyWriter (allows you to type emails in landscape view/free), TanZen and Vint B&W (app to shoot in B&W, slow but works well/free).

Here is a screen shot of what apps I have on my iPhone. If you didn't know already, just hold the sleep button and then click the home button to take screenshots. They go to the camera roll.

I use some of the apps already listed plus a couple more:

Pandora - Internet radio, you can look up any artist and listen to their music. It is free, but you can buy their songs too.

Yelp - I can look up restaurants, bars, barbers, mechanics close to my current location and get reviews. I can also filter by price etc., and then get directions.

iFishing - fishing game that is fun if you like bass fishing.

This phone is awesome. I can even open Excel and Word files for work. The only things I don't like are that I can't text with the phone flipped on its side so the keyboard is larger and it doesn't shoot video.

I liked my old Sony/Erricson phone but this thing is way better.

I got one for my birthday. Pretty much hasn't been out of my hand since!

Another neat app: "GPS Tracker" by "Instamapper". Free gps tool. When I am about to go into the "wild" I turn on the app and put the phone to sleep. It sends my location updates every x mins. When done, turn the app off. When home, log into the www site and checkout my course, avg speed, distance, etc and save them as "tracks". It's not great, just good, but free and just what I want for now.

I had an original iPhone, and now have a 16GB 3G iPhone.

You guys are half right about no apps for the camera. There is one for taking pictures at night, there's just not one that helps the overall performance of the camera in all situations.

There is an app called Darkroom that only allows the camera to snap a picture when the phone is steady. The quality still stinks, but at least you don't get motion blur.

I think in some situations, a blurry picture is better than no picture if it causes you to miss the shot.

This may interest you, i read it in a nerdy news clipping:

On Tuesday an Adobe spokeswomen first refused to comment when asked for confirmation whether or not Apple and Adobe are really working together to bring flash to the iPhone. The question was prompted by Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen saying that "It

i have a 16gb black 3g with a little file modding going on. There is only one page of icons on my homescreen, all of my games are in one folder(the air hockey) and the utilities are in another(the level).
