ya i have a 98' where did you find the roof rack, i always wanted one of those, im thinking abour running boards and mabey the hood. What rims and tires are those, they look great.
OEM Roof Rack Crossbeams = $50 - Some guy named Joel in Anaheim Hills, found him via craigslist
OEM Roof Rack Skid Strips x2 = $45 each - Roseville Toyota (ordered and shipped)
OEM Roof Rack Thumbwheel Assembly Kit = $10 - Power Toyota Irvine
OEM Roof Rack Tie Down Kit (x2) = $10 each - Power Toyota Irvine
That covers the roof rack, Never had running boards and I would have taken them off anyway so I'd leave it without.
The rims are from an 03 Tundra Stepside, tires are 265/70/17 BF Goodrich All Terrains.
Here's a stepside so you can get an idea:
thanks, do you have a lift, or do you have those wheels at the stick height?
stock suspension, no lift. The tires are 1" over stock for the Limited model, 3.3" over stock for base model.
here's the difference between stock and what I have:
I have a 2wd but its not a base... mine is a sport ed.
lol... do i hear some factory hood scoop jealousy? haha jk
So, I am piecing together factory roof rack set from various places.
I have OEM rails, Crossbars, thumb wheels and eyelets. The cross skid rails seem to be 1'' short. (I think they are from an earlier model T4R).
I removed end caps on rails to install but don't see how to attach thumb wheels and eyelets.
?
Do I pull Thorax screws and screw thumb wheels in those rivets? (I dont think so.)
Is there nuts that should come with thumb wheels and eyelet bolts that slide in rail groves to tighten?
Any pics or install diagram would be appreciated.
Ya, I need sliders that are not in my rails. If you have a part # for sliders that would be great. Each skid strip (rail) should have 3 sliders in them to mount the 3 additional crossbars. The eyelets screw into those sliders.
The two main crossbars have holes in them to tighten, they just slide into the rail and insert the thumbwheel into the provided hole and tighten. All Torx screws should be left in place.
If this is not what you have, I believe you may have incorrect parts.
