Any Comments on Cardone Axles

I may be wrong but i think cardone sells refurbished stuff. I got some window regulators for my old bronco and they worked fine...atleast I think it was cardone

i'm pretty sure alot of the parts we buy from Reilly's are refurbished as well, i checked the site before i posted, and saw that it was refurbished as well, and honestly that scares me a little, who knows what parts are used when refurbishing and who knows who's doing the work, you know what I'm saying, in some cases a new Chinese off brand may be better then oem refurbished depending on what parts are used, think about it when you refurbish something you are taking all of the working parts that a worn out and replacing them with new ones, well whats the difference between oem and some crappy Chinese off brand? it's the internal working parts that get worn...both fit your truck and will work but one will work a bit better and quite a bit longer for the most part. point is the internals are what matters and those are the parts that get refurbished just make sure you get refurbished units with oem internals, they won't necessarily tell you on the web page you usually have to call and ask personally.

just my experience when restoring old cars with alot of parts that are no longer made and almost everything is refurbished, there is a reason NOS parts have a such price tag,

just my personal experience and i can be wrong about this company just make sure your getting oem internals and that they know what they are doing

My comment was misleading. I wouldn't buy those CVs. window regulators are totally different.
 
I bought these cv and when they arrived I noticed a piece of tape around the middle of the shafts when removed I found the reflectively embossed NAPA emblems,that said I have always had good luck with NAPA brand drive train parts. Now for those of you that follow such thugs on this site I wheel my runner hard and often I have over 20,000 miles on my cv's I did both at the same time. I must say I agree OEM is probably better but I got what I could afford at the time and I am very satisfied.

So your saying that you ordered Cardone CVs but got ones with NAPA branding on them?

If you don't mind being the guinea pig......

The complaints that I have heard about them is that at full droop they want to bind up......
My buddy had problems with Napa ones about 4 years ago on his Tacoma that actually pulled out of the front diff at full droop.

IMO, I wouldn't run them....maybe others have had different experiences with them...YMMV.

Thats what i have also heard, but then some say they worked great like driffter said so I"ll see how they go

I can only speak from my experiences but here is a full droop situation from last Sunday remember that different suspension components will allow for more droop and very well my cause problems like after market UCA's and longer shocks I run OME and with there engineering and factory UCA's I have never had a problem
