Any difference between Canadian and US

Hello,

I am about to purchase a 1999 4Runner Limited. The car is perfect, but I found out it was originally bought in Canada. Is there any difference between cars imported to Canada and cars imported to the United States? Is it ever a good idea to buy a Canadian Car in the US?
