Any experience with MB wheels?

So I'm getting my toytec ultimate put on this weekend and next up will be some tires... Originally I was just thinking of using my stock wheels, but the paints a bit scratched up etc and now that I dont need to spend hours looking at lifts online, I get to spend hours researching my next mod :naughty: I'm already dropping the cash so whats a little more for some nicer wheels right?

I've read some of the pros and cons on here regarding steel vs. aluminum and I think aluminum is better suited for my usage...unless someone tries talking me out of it. I guess my first question is what do you guys think of these wheels quality wise? I've always been a fan of the american racing baja rims. So something like the razor or the 72 is nice, but I also like the spur???

Now that thats out of the way... I'm planning on running 265/75/16's so: bfg at, goodyear duratracs, goodyear SA, Toyo AT?????

I work at discount and can give some initial expirences. I dont have any of wheels as i love the stock tundra. i have 265/70/17 Michelin AT2

The bfg's are a pain in the ass to balance on the razors because there is mabye 5" of room to balance on the back and AT are typically hard to balance in the first place.

the 72;s are margionally better wheels but overall they seem to be a better wheel in fit and finish and consistency.

I havent put on any spurs but generally the more $ the wheel is the better quality.

I am personally going with the toyo's. on average we see about 50k depending on user and they are pretty easy to balance.

the duratracs are nice but somewhat new and i haven't seen mileage and wear. there is one douche that comes in all the time with sidewall punctures. could be driver doucheness or the sidewalls are weak. they are a little softer than the others probably only noticed by someone who handles tires everyday.

The SA's are even more a pain to balance than the AT's and absolutley hate them. they are probably the heaviest of the tires you listed and you will most likely be back for a rebalance on atleast the razors and 72's.

again these are my opinions as a person working wih tires daily, not how they handle highway and offroad or how they look. initial fit and finish and consistency throughout the tires and customer feedback leads me to these opinions.

I had a set of the Razor's without the black sitting on some BFG AT's on my Tacoma and I loved them. I will agree with Scoobydann on the balancing. I don't think I ever got my wheels balanced and rotated without having to go back at least once.

So I think I'm going to go with the razors. I couldnt decide between black or silver so these have the best of both worlds. They look much nicer in person...and I can always paint them down the road I guess. The only thing that scares me is how hard you said they are to balance...
