What is it like riding the Grom? I started on a 1973 Honda ST90....

Freakin awesome. It is definitely short and slow, and looks goofy as hell, but I absolutely love it. It is certainly a bike that you cannot take yourself seriously on. If you are trying to act cool and badass cause you're riding a Grom, then I personally believe that you are doing it wrong. I get lots of people asking about it or laughing and stuff and I just embrace it. I've embraced it to the point that a put a bicycle bell on it so when I (slowly) pass bikers and see people in cars, I give 'em a little brnnng brnnng!
It's certainly not a fast bike but it's perfect for around town or around a city where I mostly ride it. 0 to 60 in 15+ seconds has never been so much fun

Haven't enjoyed anything more than I have ripping through the woods on my kx250f. I am without a bike at the moment for reasons unknown, but I used to have an 07 kx250f and an 05 Zx6r. The road bike was quick and fun but there's nothing like being in the woods on a dirt bike. A newer 250 2 stroke will be my next purchase.

Thanks! Yes, I'm in Baltimore part of the year. The XR1200 was a bike Harley sold only in Europe til Americans complained. Then HD sold it in the US but the Harley purists hated it so they didn't sell much even though it was probably the best bike they made. Go figure... it's a great bike, gobs of torque and handles great. My next purchase is a set of longer Ohlins shocks to raise the rear, Ohlins forks, and rearsets. Below is a photo of a race bike for the AMA XR1200 series.
The KLX400 is a great dual sport but more and more trails are getting closed off in Hawaii.

I've had a number of bikes from Harley's to BMW 1200GS's, off road, Supermoto etc. I kind of lost interest in riding after a number of years riding for work. It was fun but the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was ride.

Virginia. Of course I promote and then they tell me that they may be switching to BMW's. I might have to go back :dammit:
Too funny, I was talking to a Harley riding CHP officer and he told me his division was swapping to the BMW's and he wanted nothing to do with them.

Almost a unicorn now with all the current litre adv bikes so heavy. I was considering something like this last month actually to go with my 500exc and 690 enduro, but replaced my pavement only with a 17 SD-r instead. It truly is a docile beast.
