I'm just a dual sport kook. I've got a '96 Honda XR600R that I treat like an R1 on the street and a trophy truck in the dirt.

I'll play. First bike was my street baby; a 2001 Suzuki Hyabusa. She was the most powerful thing I have ever riden, driven, flown or otherwise. 170hp and 100 ft/lbs or torque to the ground was plenty for me.
Second was a 2001 Suzuki GSXR600 with an rebuilt AMA spec motor in it. She was a blast and not a day goes by that I don't miss being on the track. :ybrick:
Sold them both when I moved to TX.
Drivers down here a plain crazy!

Sorry I don't agree with your opinion on motorcycle aesthetics. Changing the subject and name calling isn't going to help that bike out any, I can tell you that much :lmao:
...though I suppose I'm only guessing Maroon is an insult?

A true motorcyclist can appreciate anything on 2 wheels. It's doesnt matter what name is on the tank or it's function. If you truly love motorcycles you can find beauty in every single one, and appreciate them for their form and function. Sure there may be designs which may be more pleasing to you now but that also changes with time. To call someones choice in a motorcycle ugly because it doesn't appeal to you is a sign of immaturity. I hope with time you learn to appreciate the beauty of all motorcycles.

One hefty speeding ticket in 2008 and I sold it to teach myself a lesson. Yes that lesson hurts. After this deployment is over I am considering getting another bike.

This is what it looked like after a few mods.
The 2nd pic shows what it looks like as of last week.
I just turned over 31k on the odometer. I love riding this thing and don't plan to ever get rid of it.

Here is/WAS my little Smurf. 2008 YZF-R6. Wrecked in 2010, hit from behind by a Ford Explore, nvr saw the damn thing coming and have no recollection of the accident other than the broken bones and surgical scars. Sucks but glad I lived to tell about it. My better judgement tells me to stay off of them now, but boy do I miss being in the open. Definitely wanting another one, only this time ill get a color that matches the ride (Salsa Pearl Red).
