Any other ideas before I change headgasket?

4runner has been idling rough at start up as if one cylinder is misfiring. And then out of nowhere it totally switched to a perfect idle. Usually takes 15 secs.

However I am loosing a little bit of coolant. There are no bubbles when I look under radiator cap and no smoke out of the exaust.

Any other ideas?

compression test? Goto napa and pick up a block tester. Comes with pretty fluid that changes colors if it detects exhaust gas in the cooling system.
Theres more to it but I wont get into it just now.
