Any rust on 4th gen yet?

I have a 2003 4runner. Not stored in a garage. Living in a snow belt, but wash and wax regularly. No rust yet. Curious if any of you have any rust. There is some surface rust on the frame, but I guess that's expected.

Rust on 4th gen

The welds on my trailer hitch have rusted through the paint. It appears that the paint was applied over rust.

My headers are rusty, but that's kind of expected.

I live in Central NY and own an 05 Runner. My trailer hitch is showing LOTS of rust already.

Well it's not as bad as my Ford but.........

I do live at the beach but don't drive on it. I park it inside every night don't hit the FL mud holes and only have 41K on the clock. I think this is normal for down here and don't see it as that big a deal.


As a side note you may notice my little back up light, I relocated the tow plug to clean up the back, the OME springs and spacers and I don't bother with a spare when running Goodyears.

Just the regular undercarriage rust. I will be painting or touching up before winter with a rust inhibitor.

I'm soooo anal......lol

Some rust on the frame welds and skid plate bolts. POR-15 for frame and 6 new skid plate bolts ($0.89 each) will fix the problem.
