Any suggestions on heavier duty springs to match with TRD Pro strut/shock?

My goal is to keep the stock ride height while adding a steel bumpers front and rear with winch on the front and spare tire swingout/storage box on the back. So it will be around 150 lbs added front and rear. I already have a 60lb rack + 100 lbs of rock sliders and 40 lbs of skid plates and carry a bunch of gear with me including potentially a roof top tent. So I will be around 700lbs over stock weight without anyone sitting in the 4runner. Again about 150 sitting of that on the nose and 150 on the rear.

Anyone know of a good set of springs to accomplish stock ride height coupled with a trd pro suspension and all of this extra weight?

My reason for sticking with TRD Pro suspension is I like it and I have a 100k warranty that will cover replacements. I will switch to something like ICON after warranty is up.

Icon makes overland rear springs for extra weight on the rear portion but for front that's a tough one

For the front coils, maybe look into sourcing a pair for a Tacoma TX BAJA. (part# PTR13-35120-AA). They're OEM and I believe they're rated 650lb. I can't confirm they fit, but I can't see why they wouldn't, either.

Sounds like you seek a company named OME. Heavy duty rear springs, and change out your fronts to the heavys also.

Thanks for the replies. I guess my only choices are ICON and OME? Seems right now that ICON is the way to go for me since the suspensions they have are more similar to mine than OME. ICON has a 2" spring that seems like it might do the job. I know that the Expedition Overland crew went with ICON for their rigs which had similar weight to what I will have. From what I understand though is that they played with the valving on the shocks to match up with the ICON springs. Hopefully my turd pro shocks dont jack up the ride.

Plan on doing the rear first and then get a winch/bull bar down the road and do the front springs/shocks at the same time. By then I might just go with full OME or ICON setup all around.

Toytec has some springs for sale. You might check them out. So many of the springs are made by Eibach. They just either add coils and/or stiffness (measured in lbs).

I'll be interested to see what you come up with. I'm going to be in the same boat at some point, adding kit but wanting to keep the stock TRD Pro suspension as much as possible.

After consulting with a few shops, and the fabricator who made most my parts, I decided to go with full Icon Stage 2 set-up. Boxing up the TRD suspension for now. My decision was mostly driven by intended end use and the idea of more control, on height adjustment, as my build/planning progressed over time.

After consulting with a few shops, and the fabricator who made most my parts, I decided to go with full Icon Stage 2 set-up. Boxing up the TRD suspension for now. My decision was mostly driven by intended end use and the idea of more control, on height adjustment, as my build/planning progressed over time.

That is what I was afraid of hearing. I will talk to some local shops and see what they have to say. I really cant see getting rid of the turd pro suspension though. I like it and I have the 100k warrenty for replacements. I might end up having to get a Adventure Trailer and distribute the load that way.

For the rear, ICON offers a 2" constant rate spring, as well as an overland spring that is rated at 3" of height on an unloaded 4runner, and lifts 2" with 200# pounds of added weight.

In the front, we can get you setup with pretty much any rate youd like with either an OME, Eibach or other spring option.

If you decide thats not enough and you want to upgrade to ICON, King, Fox, or other kits we can offer them without the rear springs so you arent buying parts twice.

Did Bilstein Just Make The Ultimate 4Runner Overland Suspension System? | Expedition Portal

This is a new article about the 6112, 5160 combo which I think is the same thing as a TRD Pro suspension except adjustable struts. Anyways, the guy put some sway away eibach 1.5 which allow for an additional 150 lb payload in the back (12-15 increase spring rate depending on who you ask). He says that the combo is great but that he hasnt put an aftermarket rear bumper on yet.
