Any thoughts on the Doorshox vs the cladding

Does the cladding protect your doors from door dents/dings, or should I consider the doorshox, for tight parking spaces?

ive had people swing their doors open and my sliders have saved me countless times ive come out and seen dents on peoples doors from my sliders. but sliders cost a fair amount more

They stick out just enough to where another car door will smack them before they hit your door. Unless the other cars door is higher than your sliders. More reason to lift it too! :biggrin2:

Toyota, Suzuki Samurai, and Jeep Off Road Parts

look at their 78" set. they say they are for a 88-04 extra cab, but they will fit the 4runners perfectly, and i bet you could have superior off road in gresham(right off of hwy 26 and palmpuist on orient) weld them on for you in an afternoon. a couple of guys on here are running the trail gear sliders and they are almost bomb proof hard to beat for the price

When I pull link and scroll down, 3 kinds and gusset kit. Do I need gusset kit, and thought on the 3 options?

I would look at 4x innovations. That is what I am going to buy. Cheaper, they need welded together, however that way you can weld this with a slight upward inclination.

those are not cheaper than the trail gears... trail gear uses DOM tubeing fyi, and trail gears are the same way.

and to woodsie, the gussets wouldnt be a bad idea, but if you are not going to use them for wheeling then i dont think they would be needed, and you know the 4xinnovations in hrew might be a cheaper alternative, but that wait time is a killer, trail gear is pretty fast like a week or two last time i ordered something. and natesNWrunner got his pretty fast too i think when he ordered sliders from them

The 78" ones are going to be waaaay to long. The 67 inch are the ones you want.

Those are gonna be too long. When I bought my 4xinnovation sliders, I bought a pair for my friends Xtra Cab Tacoma. You can see the difference in length. The shorter ones are the ones meant for our 3rd gens. Longer ones are for the Tacoma. And if you look at the pic of them on my Runner, there's no way you could squeeze another 10"+ in there.
