Any variations of the taco whip mod?

looking for a true whip that can attach in to the assy used for the mod, you know the longer whips that are pretty flexible?

reason i ask is i don;t want to have to remove the whip every-time i wash my sexy beast and would like the possibility of hooking up a cb to it with switch to toggle between radio and cb, i know what ever i use i won't get the best cb reception this way but i also don;t like the look of a stream of antennas coming from the rig either....or am i just stupid to think can be done, lol


thanks alot guys i broke the stock 4runner one in a car wash in vegas and am running out to pick up some parts tomorrow just wanted to know the above was feasible and relatively easy if not i'll just stick to the taco whip mod and carry a little spanner with me.

You can buy antenna masts with a spring at the base so it wobbles around at Autozone type places. I still don't trust those drive through car wash bristles. Then again, I wash and wax by hand. It gives you a real good look at a lot of the truck. Just do that and keep the Taco antenna.
