any1 in so cal help w cornfed lift??

whats up guys. Im about to put in a 3/2 cornfed lift and just dont trust myself fully to accomplish it. Any guys around south oc wanna help. ill buy u beer and lunch or even give u some cash. I am pretty mechanical and could prob swing it solo but heard so much about having extra hands/buddy to help. any guys that have done this would much rather do it at home vs a shop. although through this website i found a solid shop not too far if no 1 is down.

are you changing the springs and shocks or just putting in the spacers?

spacers only for now. but dont have jacks/stands but could borrow some. also no spring compressor but could rent one although seen peeps that dont it w/o.

Were abouts in Southern Cali are you? I live in Orange, I've never lifted a rig but I do have some mechanical back ground and if you find someone who's done it before I wouldn't mind coming out to give an extra hand just to be able to learn what goes into lifting the truck. let me know what date your thinking of.

well i am in long beach. i just help a guy on here last week with his lift and did my own as well. i have all the tools with the exception of a 14mm open end closed end wrench. I could help you on monday or tuesday if you want. just come on over and toss it in the garage.

btw....here is my spring compressor and works like a champ! ask jibberjabber.

whats up guys thanks for all the reply's. 810moto i remember seeing that looking through threads not too long ago. if it works thats all that matters. and monday tues are normally my days off. let me know what you want in exchange. im a giving guy, my daughter made me a softy. lol. i got tools and we could conquer it quick. i should have that wrench but will bring what i got.

i live in aliso viejo by the 73 toll road and right out laguna canyon rd. my house isnt ideal cuz slanted driveway and doing it in the street prob isn't the best idea. if anyone wants to shoot me a pm w/ there number that b sweet. waiting on paycheck should get spacers in week depending how fast burtman ships them out.

yeah, doing a lift in the street probably is not the best of ideas esp. if you dont want the HOA knocking on your door. We did this last one in about 5 hours i think but that was with changing out shocks, springs and putting in spacers. As far as money goes, I figure we are all grown ups and know what it would cost us to go to a shop, so for waaaay less, it can be done in a garage. Your call bud. just keep us posted on when you order vs when he ships them.
