Any weekend is good for me. Afternoons or evenings. Just pick a place. Even watching the bears game at some sports pud or resturante would also be fine also. Or the hotdogs!!

I'm going on Oct 3rd to see Bears on Soldier Field. It'll be second time when I have chance to see Bears life. I can only tell You that it is much more interesting when You got thousands people seating around you and watching game .. IT's a lot of fun even for someone like me who isn't much into football....

Welcome and congratulation.;): Good choice. I hope soon we'll see some pictures of your new ride. Are you planning take it offroad or it is just for everyday driving? I used to take my old Jeep from time to time offroad before I got 4R and now I'm fighting with myself because I don't want to take 4R offroad yet (still new and I'm afraid of scraches :D )
Good luck with your truck ;):

Yes I will....:D To be honest whenever I see 4Runner I check it out really carefully. If it has any mods or anything. Am I only one? I still hope someday I will be able to see somebody in a 4Runner with a T4R sticker on it..... Until then .... I'll still look out for members of this forum...;):

Guys/Gals,

Hi there !!!, i'm new to this forum and am a new 4runner owner (early October). Mine is stock and I would like to hook up with some 4runner owners to chat and mingle etc.
I do intend to go off roading with mine if there is anybody interested out there. Last August my friend who owns Land Rover and I went off roading out in Lake Geneva , Wisconsin and i'll have to say that got me wanting to get a true and reliable 4x4 (toyota of course) so I could go off roading too.
Now I just need a group to go out with.
Good day guys/gals and until next time enjoy the ride.

Congratulations and welcome!!! :hello: I'm glad You joined us. You will find here great info and help if You ever need it. Mine 4R is also stock and like You I plan to go off roading someday. I wonder where did You go wheeling in Lake Geneva....I've been there few times with my old Jeep and that place is right next to Lake Geneva Raceway. We had a lot of fun. It's very nice place for people without experiance to have some fun with their trucks. I think almost every day about taking my 4Runner there but I still remember how I tested my Jeep there and I'm not sure if i want to see 4Runner tested like that. Anyway I hope someday we'll be able to get together with few members from Chicagoland area and plan some offroading.
Once again welcome to the forum and we are waiting for some pics....

Krosno,

Glad to read (hear) from somebody here and right away too.
Yeah , it's the same off road trail I was talking about in Lake Geneva. Do you know by any chance if there is a fee to use that trail ?
Anyhow , I am from Libertyville just south of Gurnee.
There was a group of 4runner owners from the east coast that I've been contemplating to hook up with to go off roading.
But it would be much better if we could get together a group from around here, not necessarily to go off roading right away, but of course chat and get to know fellow runner owners.
Until then take care fellows.

welcome! my girlfriend also lives in libertyville just south of gurnee, so i'm frequently around there! unfortunately.....i'm not brave enough to risk my 4runner on hard trails, but light ones i will do. i just don't have the money for upkeeping if i were going to damage it. anyways.....you should also check out yotatech as they're pretty hardcore over there. like krosno...i hope we can all hang one day.

From what I know they charge 500$ for wheeling on Sunday. I went there few times with a 2 guys who were trying to convince people like me that most of SUVs aren’t only for driving to a mall but they were meant to be used off road too. So most of the people had stock SUVs. Usually there was about 20 trucks so we paid like 25$ each. They have two trials: easy and hard. I tried only easy one but I had a blast!!!There is only one problem there.. Trees. There is lots of them and I think it is impassible to avoid some small scratches. With my Jeep I didn't care but now it is a different story.
You can see from my previous posts that I'm open for any meeting. I would like to see others 4R because that way I could see some new stuff that I could put into my truck and talk about them. My budget is really small so I have to spend money wisely.:D
I hope we are going to be able set some kind of 4Runners meeting soon...

Krosno,

Thanks for the info about the trail.
Me too is open for meeting with other 4runner owners. Guys and gals , old , young , married , single , broke or big spender where you at ? let's hang out.
