Where is everyone in CHI?!!
Hey everyone!!
I am fairly new to this site, but I have been spending a ton of time on here. I bought my truck last year and since then I have been wondering. Where are all the T4Rs around Chicago?? I came across this thread today hoping to find a ton of people and its dead?! I can't imagine all the gens of T4R and no clubs here?
by the way, I spotted a lifted white 4th gen with a plastidipped grill, roof rack, and roof lights. Had T4R.ORG stickers and another forum I believe. It was at the Meijer on Gary Ave and Schick Rd. in Bloomingdale. I imagine your on here if you tag your truck with a sticker. Nice Ride!! First lifted I have seen in the area!

Anyone from the south burbs on here. I see a lot of you northerners. Anyone know of some places to get muddy down here? Or even up north if I must. I'm still rockin a pretty stock limited, put some ambient lighting in the interior but that's about it for now. Will continue picking away at it.

Your rig might make it but I'm running a stock 2010 Limited still with little pissy 7" Yoko tires that barely make it on the highway. You think it'll survive?
Also got to wait for the wife to be out of town. She loves my truck and has already threatened castration if I take it off roading.

Hello I am a Chicagoland area person. I live in lombard. I drive a tacoma but I saw a cool 4 runner with the T4R.org sticker at the lombard train station this morning. I have seen him a few times. There are not a lot of Chicagoland Tacomas that wheel so I figured I would come here and see who was around.

HAHA, My wife loved my truck before I put the lift and big wheels on now shes not super fond of it. I got some Nfab steps recently so its easier for her to get in. I like the Nfabs but I think it was more fun watching her try to get in before, especially if she was rockin a skirt.
I don't have any experience with the stock tires off road on the limited. I am sure you could still have some fun there, in my experience usually there are also some good people with equipment to help pull you out if you get stuck. may want to consider taking the lower plastic ground effect off the front bumper before hand so you can expose the tie down rings underneath just in case. Check out the site for Cliffs. There is a pic with a little jeep liberty on there so I am sure you would be ok. thecliffsoffroad

I am northwest suburbs in Roselle, IL. I have seen a lot more lifted Tacomas around than 4Runners. I would be totally interested in setting up a trip to the cliffs in the next few months. Nice ride by the way!

There's a lot of different trails there. Mine is stock as well except for the 99 coils if you wanna count that. I saw a bone stock Durango there last year and the whole famy was in it including the dog......

Consider the plastic removed and ready to be saved, the only thing I'll lose is my pride. Speaking of skirts, I was threatened with my life if I took my "shiny" truck out wheeling, I feel that is all the more reason to do so. Looks like if we got some taco guys out there we could make a pretty good crew.

I am going to Attica this weekend with some FJ guys. We are leaving early saturday morning if you want to join. My truck is the least done up out of all of them, but at least if I get stuck there will be someone to pull me out. haha

I would definitely be in, this weekends not good though. Fishing tournament at Shabbona. I probably won't get a free weekend until late May or early June.
