Anybody form Illinois?

Hey friends! I'm tooling around the Aurora/Naperville area these days. Most days I'm driving Route 59, Eola, New York, 75th, North Aurora, I-88, Butterfield, Kirk quite a lot. Give a honk if you see me in my '97 SR5 and let me know if I should keep my eyes out for ya! Cheers!

Anyone in Illnois looking for a set of oem rims? (2017 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium)

Hi guys, my buddy just picked up a 2017 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium and took his stock rims off. Rims only, no tires. They have 5-8 miles on them. (Removed at the dealership) Set of 4 with boxes. $650 or offer. Located in Hanover Park, Illinois.

Figured this thread needed a nice little bump to the top. Checking in from Elmwood Park/Galewood/Oak Park area but I'm always out and about in the city and western burbs too

just a heads up guys!

I was looking for a shop that does tint and got hooked up thru a friend for a guy who can match the front tints to the rear.

his shop is clean, his process is OCD and I am very happy!

I did 20% to match the rears.

His shop is out in aurora about 5 min off of 88 and 31. Takes him about 45 min to take care of the front. You can call or text him at 630-400-2439 (Gustavo) to set up an appointment. Let him know "Rick" sent you and cost is 65$ :)

I will call Gustavo and let him know I want the "Rick" deal for the front window tint match...thanks for posting that. I'm in Park Ridge, and just started following your build thread. Pretty impressive. So much stuff I want to do, but just got mine a few weeks ago, so I'm way behind you. I won't be able to do everything at once...probably over a few years...but something to look forward to. Cheers!

Spotted a clean Galactic Gray 4th Gen yesterday at Grand and River Road in River Grove. Mild lift, TRD pro wheels on AT's, blacked out rear garnish, and American flag window decal. Anyone on here? I was in the gray stock 4th gen with CB lip antenna. Clean rig!! (No pics unfortunately)

Sighting of expedition build early 4th gen in Chicago/Logan Square

I spotted this very nicely built rig back in late January and have finally made the time to post the pix. Looks like a 2005 (based on the humpback spoiler) on at least 33s (forgot to take a closeup). Also noteworthy are the snorkel, front and rear plate bumpers, and the LED taillight conversion. Got to love the holiday lights around the roof rack! Definitely an unusual sight for an urban environment.

Just bought a 4Runner TRD, living in the city and wondering if there is a club or meet us. I would love to take her out mudding on some nearby trails.

I would maybe hit up Chitown and see if they have any up and coming events.

Hi.
I just bought mine 4Runner and since I've seen a lot of them in chicagoland area I wonder if there is any club here in Chicago. If not maybe it is a good idea to think about one because Jeep guys have it, Land Rover also how about Toyota 4Runner club....It sounds great to me......
From La Grange Park. Stock 97 4runner that needs a lot of love. Wondering if anyone in the Chicago/Suburbs knows of a shop that can weld on a new rear diff cover. I have the dreaded rusted diff cover and have made it work with jb weld epoxy but I'd like to get a new diff cover welded on. Here is the link to a new cover at a great price: Dorman(R) 926-993 - OE Solutions™ Differential Cover
Anybody with a midwest/northeast/northwest 3rd gen should take a look at your diff cover. My problem is just finding a welder to do it.

I'll second the shop request -- just bought a 4th gen living downtwn. I know I'll have some work in the future and would love to know a good 4x4 shop. I'm figuring there's gotta be some in the suburbs but would love a recommendation. The Toyota dealership downtown isn't exactly the ideal spot to take care of everything I'd like done haha
