Anybody know anything about these tires?

Just noticed these on Discount Tires' website. They look pretty cool and are cheaper than the BFG KO. They are the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac.

(I know this should probably go in the tire and wheel section, but not many people post in there)

Clemson, I know a guy who's running a set of 285/75 DuraTracs right now on his '02 4Runner and he swears by them. Said they are far better than the BFGs. He's even trying to convince me to purchase a set when my Nittos wear out :D.

I'll PM you his email address if you would like to ask him about them...I dunno if he's a member on this board or not.
 
How does one swear by a tire that new? How many miles does he have on them?

Those GYs do look good but it'll be hard to get me to change my mind after the 4 (and 50k miles) years of solid performance on my TGs to get me to not buy another set of Nittos. Nittos are still cheaper by over $20 a tire.

I'd like to see more real world reviews to see what the GYs are truly about before I'd shell out a chunk of change on them.
 
those are so bad ass in person, the internet photo does them no justice. they are in no way an A/T. i which i could afford them.

I have a feeling my next tires will come down to the Nitto TG and the BFG KO...but I saw these and they are tempting. Maybe a few more reviews will show up.

Personally, i would rather go with SilentArmor if you're going the Goodyear route. I think that their new MT/R is intriguing! :)
 
those just look like a standard all season tire to me.......maybe a little like the terragrapplers, but with a more agressive looking sidewall, but still not as aggressive as the BFG A/Ts. What is the price of these units?

ive got the 265/75/16's on right now in a 6 ply, and i love em! they have just a little bit of road noise, but nothing crazy, and so far they have done everything on road i could wish for, and ive only done mild trail offroading so i cant give an honest opinion there. they look so much better than the bfg in person
 
These Duratrac's are the bomb, have over 6000 miles and just dig on them. They are far more aggresive then the BFG A/t's, and I don't see them on each and every truck that drives by either. And in my opinion, they make the Terra Grappler's look like street tires. Sorry if that upsets anyone, just my 2 cents. BTW, here is a whole thread on these exact tires.
