Anybody order DeeZee running boards lately?

Where did you order from? I ordered in early May and was told that they won't ship for another week or two, because the brackets are on backorder from DZ. I'm bummed that I won't have my running boards and annoyed that the company already charged my credit card on the day I ordered.

I don't want to name the company, because they are simply the middle man.

I have the DeeZees installed on my truck and love them. When I ordered mine, I did it through a local outfit (an actual physical truck accessory shop) that have been installing things like truck beds and running boards in the area for the last 20 years.
My recommendation here would be that you cancel your order (you have a good reason given the expected delay in delivery) and look for a truck accessory shop in your area and have them order it. Often, I have found that these truck accessory places may have extra spare parts lying around and hence are not affected by back orders. Just my 2 cents!

The Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) and the Mail or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule offer protections and procedures for consumers so they don't have to pay for merchandise they ordered but never received.

In addition, many credit card issuers have policies against merchants charging a credit card account before shipment. If you think a merchant charged your account prematurely, report it to the credit card issuer. Otherwise, the credit card issuer has no way to know that the merchant is not complying with its policies.

I'd cancel the order and go somewhere else. I've never had anyone bill a CC before it was shipped. I thought it was law, but I guess it's just the CC companies policy.

Thanks guys...I called DZ and they told me that they are behind on manufacturing the brackets. There are no authorized dealers within 100 miles of my zip code. I checked a few other online distributors as well, such as Summit and Jegs.

I'll contact my CC company to make sure that I can still dispute the charge later on if this drags on much longer, because I need to pay my bill soon.
