Anybody run 235/75 R15 tires?

Anybody run that size? It was a size that came up when I was looking to get tires for my 92 3.0. I figured it needs all the help it can get in the "go" aspect of it. Anybody run these? Does anybody have any pictures of their truck with this size? I don't want it to look silly with little tiny tires haha

It will look silly. My 94 3.0 had 31 10.50s on it stock height no lift. Probably was not very fast but looked good.

That's what is on the truck now. 31x10.50s. Two of them are worn out and I can't seem to find out the manufacture of them (I bought the truck with them on) Not sure if I should just buy four new ones with a less aggressive tread or what. This truck is mostly going to see highway with some offroad too

The Firestone Destination T/A's are lighter and cheaper. I have them in 31x 10.5 on my '89. It's supposed to be the largest 15" that will fit without a lift. I agree the stock size will look tiny. I wish I'd remembered to tell the guy to mount the white lettering inside.

Yes I just bought this rig and had those size tires on it. No lift pretty much stock as far as I know everywhere on truck.

31" is as big as u should go if u run stock gears. 33/10s will fit without a lift but u gotta swap gears.

It is a stock size and a common size for 15" rims. With the power of the 3.0 with an auto, or even worse, a 22RE, that is the size I would be running. It will not look silly.

Disregard title wrong post, I went with this 235/75 because they are 80 bucks 50,000 mile warranty, and I get 22 mpg. I like the look on these rims and not rock crawling or mud bogging. I am a stock kinda guy.

I am torn now haha. Half say they will look silly and the other half not haha. How drastic of a mileage/performance drop is there with the 31s compared to the 235s?

It's all in the eye of the beholder. Are you going to let somebody else's opinion get in the way of what you want your truck to do for you? F*ckem if they don't like how it looks, they aren't driving it.

Going down a tire size will make for a nice cheap gearing change. It'll wake up the truck a little bit, at the expense of RPMs on the freeway. Assuming 4.30 gears, you'd be turning about 2500 RPM at 70 MPH. That's not bad. I say do it.

Wally world aka the great Satan. I like the ta radial but couldn't justify the 130 each price and no mileage warranty. You might find some used 31's with wheels on craigslist if you keep looking cheap while you cruise on the good years. You can swap for the haters and hot chicks one weekend a month. :naughty:

Does This Look Silly? 235-75/R15.

But 31's would definitely look nicer.

I also think that first-gens have more tire clearance, so 235-75's on a 92 would not look bad at all.

Here's 31x10.50's on my '92 on stock wheels and stock suspension, no lift or anything. Just removed trim and running boards. At 70mph I'm right around 2800rpm, getting 14mpg, but don't think the horrible gas mileage is due to tires. These are Nexen Roadian AT II's (came on it when I bought it), also keep in mind that different tires will vary on actual diameter and width. I know these are actually 30.5" tall for example, and the BFG TA KO's are 31.7". Not much of a difference but just an example

Looks good! Are 31's stock on that generation? I actually wish I got 31's instead of the 235's but the 235's don't look that bad.
I also like mine without the chrome trims (no running board either), but would like rock sliders someday.
