Just gotta go balls out man. I've been out a few runs and I was in your shoes, I'm still a noobie boobie. You never know 'til you try. Beginner or not, you're going to always have butt clenching moments (literally) that will make you cringe. But like Danny says, just watch the line the person in front of you takes and if you need help just ask for it. Everyone here is super helpful. With the help of others here I was able to do White Mountain without having to reach in the back and grab my baby wipes. :thumb3:

I hiked up Santiago peak from holy jim today and it was dry as can be. Maybe 1 small hole with mud. Not sure if the road was open or not but I did see about 3 trucks driving past the main divide road to the peak.

You wont roll. The trail/road is easy, i was going waaaaaaay too fast... take it easy and its the perfect spot for a test run.

I'm open to any route, I've only gone up once and I think it was the main divide road, stopped and hiked the west horsetheif trail. Morning is probably best, but I have a flexible schedule.

Headed up to the peak last night to howl at the moon. Got sandwiches from Paradise Donuts off La Paz and brought a couple beers. Had no idea how shitty Main Divide Road was! I want to head up again on a clear day to really take in the views.
