Anyone atempt windsheild star crack?

I got a stone chip in the windsheild today on the passenger side. It has several 1/4" cracks. Any hope it can be reapired?

I've had several sucessfully repaired by professionals. I thought most ins. co's would pay the cost to have this done, mine always have. Had it done on the wife's CRV a few years ago, and it was literally impossible to find the repair afterwards.

No experience with a DIY kit tho. Eventually, most chips do spread into cracks.
