Anyone buy new TR4 recently?

I got mine, technically, before Christmas. Took it a few days to come in - took delivery 12/26

The sticker on mine was $43,172 - they lopped that down to about $38k right off the bat, and gave me payoff + $2000 for my 2006 Colorado Z71 crew cab (the local Chevy dealer wasn't even going to pay off that in trade).

So I ended up financing a little more than $36k (added GAP insurance and 100k mile warranty) and got 0% financing on it (didn't take the $4000 rebate - 0% financing worked out MUCH better in the long run).

I looked at some of the '09s, but they weren't nearly as ready to make deals on those at that time. Makes sense, the 2009s had *just* come out and they still had some 2008s in the system to get rid of.

got an 08 sr5 v8 4x4 for 29.9k out the door in december....few extra goodies on the truck.

ok deal, I think coulda done better, but I really hate hanging out at a dealership haggling prices.

Just shop around and take your time. You should be able to get a great deal on a truck nowadays with dealers not moving inventory like they used to. Not a Runner but my brother just picked up a '08 Duramax with a sticker of $45,000 for $33,000. Deals like this are not uncommon on anything that is not labeled, fuel efficient. Just go dealer to dealer playing them against each other. You should be able to get a fantastic deal right now.

My buddy just got a Crew Cab Siverado for $15k. MSRP was $29k, he got $7k from from the dealer, $7k factory discount. Some of these deals are ridiculous nowadays...

1st time buyer

i was looking at fj cruisers during the 0% promo. one of the salesmen at the dealership just traded his 05 T4R in for an 08.
i bought it.

first time buyer, short credit history but FICO of ~700.
no money down, 2k trade in for my 98 lincoln MarkVIII (~160k miles) and i financed 20k @ 3.9%, GAP insurance, extended warranty, and they threw in their 'car care package' which has idk how many free oil changes and other service needs (tire rotation, etc.)
oh yeah; lo/jack, pioneer avic d3 and an overhead dvd player w/screen for the backseat.

sure i could have waited a little longer for a better price but when you have the choice of having something now or having something later....why wait?

needless to say i'm loving my choice. and testing her out on a trip to big bear this friday

Last Saturday I bought an 06 sport 4WD with 28k miles for $21,000 and the full Toyota platinum "wrap" warranty to 100k miles thrown in for free after a bit of haggling with my local Toyota dealer (thanks to carmax for having a couple cheaper 4runners).

I absolutely love this car. I use to have a Jeep Cherokee and this feels at least as solid with a much, much nicer and quieter ride.

'06 Limited purchase

I totalled a '98 Limited three days before Christmas and was up against it trying to pick out a new one asap. I did a lot of internet research and ended up a few different dealerships, but I think I found a great deal. Certified '06 Limited, V8, X-REAS, full-time 4wd, nav system, cd changer, JBL stereo, 54,000 mi listed for $23,500. I stuck to my original price range and refused to make a deal unless they came to me in terms of price. After 2 hours of haggling, I got them to $20,300 with 3.9% financing. MSRP was just under $44,000. Vehicle is in excellent shape and should last another 150,000 mi. If you find the right dealership, they'll work with you on used ones.
