Anyone care about the new Bronco?

If you've ever gone on a trail in one of these independent suspension monstrosities, you know it's mess of teetering over obstacles, lifting the tires, chattering ABS brakes, rocking back and forth, and lots of electronic drama to make up for the fact that independent suspension sucks at this and LR knows no one will seriously do this except for magazines and the random idiot.

I'm sure if you have 10 people helping you, you can take a dump while doing a headstand and not get shit all over you... but why would you want to?

Plus all the electronic wizardry will heed the call of Lucas the Prince of Darkness and self-destruct when you need it most.

I wanted a highlander for the superior offroad performance but ended up in a 4Runner. Not sure how. I think the dealer tricked me.

I am sure under extreme maintenance they will probably be okay but still think these will not be 200k+ engines. If they put a normal engine like the coyote V8 I think the setup would be a monster

Coming from ford and the forums the 5.0 has been a hit or miss failure with multiple issues, ticking engines, blown seals and other oil leaks. The 2.7? even before they updated to port injection the older ones were turning 200k and chugging along.

The guys on that F150 forum are somewhat surprised at him getting 200k out of the 2.7, as I read it. Plus, the guy this link goes to has replaced 2 torque converters so far. I had to stop reading due to time.

Same! I like it but I don't see me buying a Ford, especially over a Toyota. I hope Toyota steps it up, though. Long overdue!!
