Anyone else ever have GPS freeze and reset itself?

I was using my GPS in my 2014 Trail Edition and it starts to freeze. The whole system then resets itself. It comes back on after a auto reboot and then after a few minutes starts doing the same thing again. This has happened about 5-6 times since I've owned it, about 3 years. Anyone else ever experience this? I have never updated the software as they want a crazy price to update it. For about half I could get a windshield GPS. I'm going to call the dealer and take it in but wasn't sure if others had this issue. Think it's hardare or software?

Unfortunately I think you have to get a system update/re flash. I was having Bluetooth and gps freezing in my 2014 sr5, but luckily I got in just inside my warranty and had them update. Now it rarely freezes or drops Bluetooth connection. I don't know what they want to fix it but I'm pretty sure the update will make your music/Bluetooth and gps better. How much to reflash it?

Yes, Mine would freeze and reboot. After a while on some runs it would do the reboot 3 times in a row.

Toyota updated the software over a year ago and no reboots since.

Thanks for the info. I did search for "GPS reboot" but got nothing. I didn't think to search "Entune".

Yes. Has happened to mine a few times. Its rare, so I haven't done anything to address it. I'm interested to see what the dealer tells you.
