Anyone else have issue with Reception strength after changing Radios?

Ok so i took the crappy stock radio out and put in a panasonic flip up dvd player. But my reception is on the crappy side now any ideas?

I don't have any personal experience with that topic, but I've read postings about upgraded stereos and they've mentioned that the stock stereo has an inline antennae amplifier. I think some people forgot to switch that over to the new stereo and that caused a decrease in reception.

yeah, you will have to switch your power wire for you antenna to a 12 volt accesory source (black wire inline with your two antenna plugs). You can either hook that up to your antenna amp wire (if your new radio has one available) or just hook it up to the switched 12 volt source (ie - accesory wire usually red on your new harness). YOur reception will be as good as before once you power on that inline antenna amp
