Anyone else have problems with their XenonDepot HIDs igniting?

I installed a pair 1 year ago. Right away I was having problems with one not igniting. They sent me a replacement ballast and it made the problem even worse. Now it only ignites about one out of every 20 tries. It's getting really annoying. Any solutions? Are there other good brands that don't have this problem?

Installed mine 11 months ago, have not had a single problem and i use them daily.

I've had the HID low beams from XD in my 14 trail since May '19 and I have a similar experience but mine ignite much more frequently than yours. Probably ~80% of the time both ignite. The other 20% is usually the passenger side not firing. Flip em off and back on and both sides always fire. I had to replace the passenger ballast just after install because it wouldn't fire at all. XD customer service was great and I had the new ballast within a few days. Bottom line for me is it doesn't annoy me enough to pursue another claim with XD and I like the bulbs too much to switch right now. Once these wear out I may look at other options.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue. Mine are about 2 years old and the driver’s side ballast is acting up. It fires about 75% of the time on the first try. Ill be looking for other options if the problem persists.​

Funny to read this. That’s a pic of my xenon depot that I just ripped out of my runner a couple weeks ago.

I was so sick of one side not firing up or turning on.
I was constantly f’ing with them.

Sure they light up the road like nothing else but the juice was just not worth the squeeze.

I installed morimoto 2.0’s tonight.
They aren’t as bright as the xenon depot but there is zero wiring and I won’t have to jack around with anything.

( and they are still so much brighter than stock )

Had the exact same issue as you with my passenger side. First XD suggested I install the relay, which did not help. They then shipped me a new ballast which seems to have solved my issue, so far a whole week without problems. Did you try adding a relay? Is it always on the same side?

After one year my driver side only fires about 50% of the time. I do not have the relays installed. I did pop a fuse on the same side when I was in below freezing temperature.

I've had mine in for almost three years now. No issues. Knock on wood of course lol. But I've been wheeling in mine, snow, rain, hot as hell summers, no issues as of yet.

I did think one of mine went out, but turns out I just broke one of the lock in clips on the connector and it wiggled loose.

I definitely would try a different brand if I were you. Trying to get a replacement from XenonDepot is like pulling teeth.

Are they at least 80% as bright as HIDs? I had XD LEDs before this and they were barely better than stock halogens.

Damnn. Any suggestions for a different brand besides morimoto that youve had experience with? Good thing I didnt pull the trigger on the XD. I drive my truck for work so wouldnt be able to deal with one side not firing.
