IMO, this is more of a cautionary tale related to why you should never take a vehicle to CarMax, because they'll throw you the lowest of lowballs. $900 for a vehicle that will go 400,000+ miles if well-maintained? Poppycock!

Not to change the subject of the thread, but I'm a little surprised by this. I sold a car to them once (was in a hurry) and they paid exactly Kelly Blue Book. It was fast and easy. I can see where a single women would prefer this experience over dealing with strangers on craigslist. I'm guessing the ridiculously low price was due to the age of the vehicle.
