Anyone ever use 235/80 r17s

Looking for a. On directional snow tire and currently run 255/75 for my summer tire. No one makes a non directional snow in that size. What I can get is 265/70 or 235/80. I like skinnier tires for winter and this is my ski truck and will be driving weekly until the snow melts on ski trip in all crappy weather conditions. My concern is that they may not be stable when on good roads not covered in snow and ice at highway speeds. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Good lord that sounds like a skinny tire... will it even mount on a 7.5" wheel without looking stretched?

I have 235/75 roller tires.. haven't tried them in the snow.. best way to drive on the snow Is to air down if you can.. consider a set of bfg ko2s. Great all season tires, and i know lots of guys who prefer them when on ice and snow..
