Anyone Excited?

I'll be honest. I've never liked any Japanese automakers. I hated toyota the most, but lately I've been following the news.

I'm really excited about tomorrow. Anyone else?

I'm very pumped myself! Been waiting to upgrade from my 2006 since last year:)

Its like a early B-day present for me......mines on Friday!!!!!!!!

Anyone have any idea if Toyota will put the 2010 on their site tomorrow or just release the info to the public at the Texas state fair?

I would assume that they would update their website on the day of the official release, but sometimes things like that can lag a few days behind.

I am still baffled why they would use a state fair, rather than one of the big auto shows, to release their newly revised, longest running SUV. Seems rather anticlimactic if you ask me.

Yes and no.

Yes, because it's the vehicle I really need right now and I've been waiting for the new ones to decide if I want 4th or 5th gen.

No, because it's still going to be some months before I can get one and I'd have to get rid of my GTO for it. The GTO promotes anti-social behavior, and at 34, I'd like to think I've outgrown that. But it sounds sooo f'in good and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I keep telling myself I can always get another toy in the future once I'm richer.

The State Fair of Texas is a very large venue, and they have one of the largest auto shows there running the entire three weeks. I work about 3 blocks from there, and planned on going tomorrow and taking pictures, however, one of my former co-workers died, and I will be going to his funeral out of town tomorrow.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I Want to see the trail edition doing work so Badddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have stupid school tomorrow but will be all over it when i get home. who is going???????? if anyone is get tons of pics of the trail edition inside and out cause no one here cares about the sr5 or limited. okay maybe a couple of ppl but still we all want to see that TE badddd!!!

oh and when can u buy one????

If I remember correctly, my dealership got their first 4th Gen about 3wks into Oct... I remember driving it, by the time I did it had a few hundred miles on it. I had to wait about 5wks for the model I wanted to come in. They trickled in a couple at a time over the months.

My dealer told me last week that he should get his first one around mid Oct(dealer intro if you will) and then inventory will start coming in soon after as mentioned also by Alex.

Your replies make me want to get one more and more. Although, I'm looking for a 2009 SE or Limited 4x4. I can't seem to find one. Dealers are moving them somewhere to make way for the 2010

I've gotten a lot less excited upon learning that the Limited doesn't get KDSS and the other trim lines don't get full-time 4WD. I want both.

Funny thing, I got mine one Dec 23rd... The first model (the one I drove) was still there w/ a little over 1k on it. They tried everything to get me to buy it, but it didn't have the X-Reas.

One thing no one has spoke about lately is that the 2010 4runner is nominated for truck of the year IIRC.

Any word on this?
