i broke off a zurk on my yoke thingy on my rear driveline last night, was flexing on some mad rocks up the canyon, and my zurk caught my gastank skid plate and kinda tore the skid plate out a little and broke my zurk off! i wasnt to happy haha but all in all was worth it :)

Yeah, mine's gone too. Tires are eating at the rear of the wheel well ( rear tires), and the weight on the driveshaft is eating a hole in my tank. You gotta pay to play I guess.

Only when I flex like this. Well used to anyways it has "self clearanced now"

Ok looking at the second pic and how much my 285 fills teh wheel well I dont know how any of you run 35's..lol and yes I have teh extended Sonoran Steel bumpstops.

yupp it looked kinda like that last picture but with my 265's haha i just hadnt heard of anyone doing this, i wanted to see if it was normal

im running land cruiser coils on stock 4runner rear shocks. not the best combo, but its working right now and i still have loads of fun on the trail.

And i agree... stuffing 315's has gotta be dangerous!! haha i will wheel with 33's when i get em. i gotta have that flex. function over form guys!

that's very common. i have sonoran steel 1.2 on mine. included in the kit, there's a hex screw to replace the grease zerk. when the drive shaft is due for lube, just put the zerk back on, couple pumps of grease gun then switch back.

yeah 315's would definitely limit the amount of flex. I'd like to find someone that would let me try on some of their 315's. that way i could see just how much flex i could get with them. And to see how much it would rub in the front.

Here is another pic just cause text is boring :D

i want to see some one with 315's attempt to even do that much flex. stuffing those would in no doubt limit thier capabilitys id assume. thanks for the info and pics guys. think how crappy the internet would be with out pictures. i would never get on haha

Dew, once you swap out to longer shocks it will hit even further in the tank because the swing of the arc will allow more contact. Take a 2x2 or 2x4 and a nice sized hammer and gently "massage" the contact area so that it is a little further away. It doesn'e need to be caved in or a lot just enough that the skid is just about against the tank.

thanks for the tip, i was planning on dropping the driveshaft out and doing some skidplate "adjusting" like you said, and trying to get that grease fitting to come out :)
