Gotta sell

My first gen - had fun up in Bobcaygen a couple weeks ago. But I don't have a garage to restore this and it has lots of potential (texas truck and all).

I am going to have to sell it (hope I can get $2500 or so - just put a double timing chain upgrade on it.)
Then i will get a 2000 4runner in the spring :-)

Hey Scanny, any recommendations for a good place to buy new tires? I'm thinking of getting winters and am shopping around

Somebody on this forum recommeded BuffaloNYtires.com, but I wanted Duratracs and it was only $100 cheaper in Buffalo than here in Mississauga. So saved myself a day and got my tires from Mike's Service Centre in Mississauga (3087 Winston Churchill Blvd). They offered best price, got me tires as promised and installed and balanced them well from the first attempt. So I was very pleased with Mike's Service Centre.
But before that I used to buy and install tires in Whiteoak Ford (www.whiteoakford.com) when they have November sale and they were fine too.

Thanks for the info, I'll contact Mike's Service Centre for some quotes. The issue is its hard to find 17" (hubcentric) steelies in the GTA, don't want alloys as they are way more expensive.
 
Awesome, another 3rd Gen member somewhat close by! If you want to do any repairs/mods/maintenance in the spring get in touch, willing to lend a hand and can always use an extra pair of hands myself. Always up for a bit of back country wheeling as well.

Good luck finding some winter rubber. I'm going to try and get through winter on my current tires and start the hunt in spring. I usually Google tire shops in the white pages and then get on the phone until I find the best deal.

Diverdriver, what color? I have only seen a white 5th gen with a lift and tires in the North York area. Is that you? I have a stock white 5th gen and a black lifted/rims/tires 4th gen. I'm usually in the North York area too.

4x4v8, that wasn't me, I have a dark blue(forgot the Toyota colour name) with silver Sport Edition wheels (see pics in My garage). I'm just north of Sheppard between Yonge and Bayview. Never imagined there so many modded 4runners in this area. Cool

No way! I'm in that area all the time. Funny that I've never seen you there. I have a black 4th gen and stock white 5th gen. Saw in your garage pic that you had a 911. I have probably seen that around. Hahaha. If you see me around, throw up a wave!
