Can anyone recommend a mechanic that specializes in vintage Toyota maintenance using OEM parts in the Chicagoland area?

After 27-yrs, it’s time to look into replacing electrical harness etc to keep my T4R (1999) running well and avoid potential issues down the road.

"The Car Care Nut" he not going to be cheap but he's fair and less than what a dealership will charge, I'm not sure if he works on older Toyotas, but he is the best Toyota tech in your area, if he doesn't do older Toyotas maybe he can recommend someone who does.

He has many videos on YouTube, just look for "The Car Care Nut".

I see that you're in IL too...have you used TCCN?
I've had 99% of my maintenance done at a dealership since 1997 and the only time I didn't, the dealership had to re-do the work.

Just an FYI the owner and main Technician of TCCN worked for Toyota for many years until he decided to go into business for himself.

Is there some reason you think that your 4Runner needs a new harness? A few targeted repairs should be all you need, even if there are electrical gremlins.
