Anyone from GTA

Hi all, I live in Toronto, this is my first 4Runner.... a 2014 Limited.

Do you GTA guys get your work done at one of the dealerships, or elsewhere?

I'd love to hook up with a local mechanic/ tech who really knows 4Runners. Any recommendations?

Dealer doesn't do mods, at least the once increasing off-road capabilities. Many of us do themselves. But I know of a couple places as well. PM me.

Hi Everybody! Just bought 2016 4 runner trial. Did someone had a problem with viber and Skype connection problems via Bluetooth? In my case just after 20 sec-disconnected. Have an idea? Respect.

Second go round with a 1999LTD. Had a 1998 YEARS ago and I have missed it ever since. Glad to be back in a 3rd gen 4runner.

Up in Barrie BTW

Hi Everyone! I picked up a 2013 back in March and it is stock besides the 17" FN wheels with Duratracs.

My friend who runs a 2003 convinced me to switch from a Subaru Impreza to the T4R and I am loving it. I actually sold my Skyline GTR shorty after getting this truck.

Was really looking to off-road more in the truck and finally had a chance to visit the coke plant in Brampton just 20 minutes from home as well as a spot in Acton that was a bit more friendly if you don't have a lift kit or skid plates.

If you guys have a stock truck the Acton trail is worth checking out and a lot of fun.

Ended up ordering Shrockworks skiders and skids as one of my running boards took a bit of a hit in Acton. Ruts were nowhere near as deep there as there were in Brampton.

Congratulations with 4Runner and welcome to the club.
One of the biggest benefits of the 4Runner is that you can wheel with your family.
Looking forward to see you on the trails...

Welcome to the club, I glad you like your T4R. If you are talking about 3rd line road allowance, I think it's been closed for all motor traffic few years ago, as well as Coke plant, you risk to get a trespassing ticket in those places.

Thank you.

I'm not sure about the exact location in Acton but it did take a few tries to find an entrance that didn't have boulders blocking the trail.

Coke plant looks very well traveled for a place that is closed to the public. Some of the spots were dug up so deep they could swallow my whole truck.

I think as long as you are careful where you exit you should be ok at the coke plant. The trails are too rough for anyone to come after you.

I didn't see any signs indicating no trespassing and I was the one that lingered at the entrance of the trails. Both of the sites didn't have any signs that I saw.

Hey there! New to forum and T4R. Just got limited 4th gen. Living in Richmond Hill. Any meets you guys planing this season? Or may be a suggestions on where to take stock 4r? I've read posts about Acton and coke plant, but really don't want a trespassing ticket, does anybody know for sure what's the situation there?

I highly recommend skid plates and at least good AT tires before you take aNY serious off-road.
Most of the trails are North 2-3 hr and more drive...

I'm thinking to get AT tires right away, once I pick up my New car which is this week. But honestly have no idea where to shop for skidplates. I was talking more of GTA area , but I guess it's hard to find trails here these days. I go kawartha lakes every other week, my family has a big property there and I have a 3rd gen as a bush truck there. If you are interested we can use that property to gather people from forum, there's lots of parking and camping space and lots of trails around!
